Dr. Rashid Alleem receives GCC Happiness and Peace Ambassador award

Chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) Eng. Dr Rashid Al Leem was felicitated with ‘GCC Happiness & Peace Ambassador’ by the Chairman of VP Group, Mr Aboobacker, in recognition of his pivotal role in promoting and spreading peace and happiness around the world on the occasion of Middle East Super Duet on Friday, 12th May 2017 in Sharjah Expo Centre.
The 1st edition of Middle East Super Duet was a two months event held from 15th March 2017 until 12th May 2017. The team of VOK travelled around GCC countries in search of the talented duet team from each GCC countries.

Furthermore, the event was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Rashid Alleem on 12th May 2017 in Sharjah Expo Centre. The event had the Chairman and Director of VOK and a whooping over 2000 crowd attended and showcased their support and enthusiasm for Middle East Super Duet.


The finals was held on12th May with finalists from Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE battling for the Middle East Super Duet title. Famous Music Director Gopi Sunder and playback singer Sithara were the judges for the event.

During the event Voice of Kerela 1152 AM (VOK) launched a campaign titled, ‘Happiness and Peace’ in which His Excellency was honored as the Ambassador of the title. The award was seen as a mark of acknowledgement and appreciation for his tireless efforts in fostering peace and happiness around the world and engaging himself with social activities relentlessly.

Dr. Rashid Alleem extended his gratitude and expressed his appreciation for receiving the GCC Happiness and Peace Ambassador Award.
